Born and raised in the leafy suburb of Beckenham Kent, aside from the odd sangria-infested sojourn to Spain, Duncan took his sweet time in getting out and about to discover the world. It was a trip that started in Prague in 2002 and ended in Sydney that ignited his passion for foreign climes and their promise of adventure. Whilst his friends often raved about his traveller tales (faithfully emailed back home), it wasn’t until he upped sticks from the parental nest in ‘Nam and relocated to Krakow that he began his career in the travel writing field, applying his developing skills to the Cracow Life desk.

Keeping up with the kids
After 3.5 unforgettable years in his dream job the liver simply couldn’t take any more super-strength Polish lager and he applied for a transfer to Barcelona, where he is busy discovering intriguing new concepts such as ‘culture’ and ‘literature’. Although he writes primarily for the web, just to prove he can scribble with the old school he pens regular features for Ryanair Mag, Easyjet Magazine and CNN Traveller. He has his own travel writer’s blog, which he rarely updates.
You can keep tabs on both Duncan and the latest goings on at UTB, via his From The Editor updates, as well of course via Facebook and Twitter (no photos of kittens, he promises!).
