Not another night at the Holiday Inn! We ask bed and breakfast specialists Toprooms to run us through some of the many benefits of a more cosy, local and individual stay in the UK…

Put your hands up if, when you go on holiday, you’re guilty of only searching for hotel accommodation… Whilst travel behemoths like Booking.com and Tripadvisor have made booking hotels easier than ever, allowing you to quickly compare key decision making factors like prices and public reviews, what they don’t do is list all the charming bed’n’breakfasts options every destination in the UK has to offer.

In fact Britain’s b&bs were recently voted the best in the world, so it’s crazy that we Brits don’t consider them first when we set off for a staycation (that goes for non-Brits coming from abroad too!). In this post we invited Toprooms, a new website specialising in bed and breakfasts, guest houses and cosy hotels around the UK, to educate us on some of the many pros of staying at a b’n’b versus staying in a typical chain hotel, and maybe get us to rethink a little bit our holiday habits.

From truly friendly and knowledgeable customer service, to freshly prepared breakfasts, and not forgetting all inclusive prices and unique locations (check out some of the charming cottages on their website!), there are bags of benefits that will also help make your stay more unique. So give the infographic below a perusal and maybe think twice before you siphon more money into Paris Hilton’s inheritance fund. (She’s doing just fine as a DJ anyway… well except the mixing bit).
