As Tupac once said “California knows how to party”, and in the city of LA they certainly keep it rocking from dusk right ’til dawn. To get the lowdown we ask Michelle Peterman to name six of the hottest spots in town…
Few cities have as rich of a nightlife as Los Angeles. No matter what time it is, or where you are, there is always somewhere to go. When visiting the city, finding the right place to enjoy the nightlife can feel overwhelming, so I thought I would take some time to narrow down the list and give you the highlights of the best around the city.
Hollywood
This part of the city attracts the most attention, and with good reason. Hollywood is where celebrities are discovered and sometimes rediscovered by visitors. The list of things to see in Hollywood is long, but if you know how to play, your trip gets a lot easier.
1) 10AK LA
Formerly the Key Club, 10AK LA has transformed into a classy night club along Sunset Boulevard. From light shows to DJs and hip hop, the club has a thumping, exciting vibe. While it’s still new in the club scene, celebrities such as Jay-Z, Rihanna, Jared Leto, and Leonardo DiCaprio are all visitors. 10AK LA is turning into one of the newest celebrity hot-spot.
2) Greystone Manor
A club that’s intoxicating to all the senses, Greystone boasts velvet couches, tin ceilings, and a state-of-the-art sound system throbbing with famous DJs. The dance floor is often moving into the morning. The food is gourmet, and the drinks are signature house mixes. You might even run into Bradley Cooper or Paris Hilton!
3) Bootsy Bellows
One of the hottest spots on the Sunset Strip, Bootsy Bellows is co-owned by David Arquette, and his friends love to stop in to visit. What makes this club unique is the puppet shows and burlesque acts that can accompany live music. Everything is set up with a heavy 1960s vibe and is often filled to capacity. If you want to make a visit, come early or see if you can reserve a friends and family VIP backroom.
Downtown
While nightlife along the Sunset Strip is often the most vibrant, there are plenty of places in downtown LA you can visit for a great late-night meal or club experience. Here are my top picks.
1) The Conga Room
Don’t you want to tell your friends you went to Jennifer Lopez’s club, or Will.i.am, Jimmy Smits, and more? The Conga Room is a classy club in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. Because there is such a wide range of ownership, the musical talent is often just as different. On rare occasions, you could get lucky enough to see a live, unscheduled performance by Justin Timberlake, Drake, and others.
2) Onyx Lounge
This hip club has a comfortable Bohemian décor and chill lounge area, perfect for anyone looking for a relaxed night of clubbing. Unlike most clubs, the overwhelming sound of music doesn’t permeate the building. Instead, people mingle with great mixed drinks right in the heart of downtown LA.
3) LA Club Crawl
While this isn’t a club, exactly, it’s more like a guided tour of the best clubs in downtown Los Angeles. If you are overwhelmed by the choices, signing up for a Saturday night club crawl can take the stress off your shoulders. All you have to do is follow along, and they will take you to the best nightclubs in downtown.
Nightlife in Los Angeles goes so much farther than just clubs, but these are the best hot spots on any given night.

Greystone is a fantastic nightclub located near a lot of attractions in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood. This place is pretty upscale and the service is awesome, especially as it relates to bottle service.
