Whether it’s the non-stop party lifestyle and high culture of Madrid, or the breezy Mediterranean glamour of Barcelona, or the futuristic architecture of Valencia, urban travellers have plenty to choose from in Spain. Down south and you’ve got the more traditional city of Seville, with its tapas bars and flamenco tablaos, whilst the likes of Malaga, Cadiz and Granada also have plenty of sultry southern Spanish allure.

On the forgotten northern coast meet Bilbao, San Sebastian and A Coruna, where you’ll find the best cuisine in the country. Of course Spain is the land of crazy fiestas and the adventurous traveller won’t want to miss the chance to see Las Fallas in Valencia, hurl tomatoes at each other in Bunol, or outrun a bull or two in Pamplona.
